Fairytale :)

This post is not going to be entirely a serious newspaper-like one. Simply because what I'm going to talk about has a strong shade of a fairytale.

Why do I repeat the word "fairytale"? Because "Fairytale" is the title of the song with which Alexander Rybak, representing Norway, won last night the Eurovision contest. Isn't it great? :D

I liked a few other songs, but when I heard him, everything was clear. He became instantly my favourite. No surprise, right? :))

In a few minutes I found out everything I needed to. (Hail Wikipedia =)) ) Alexander Rybak, born in Minsk, moved with his parents to Norway aged four. He's been playing instruments since he was five, so he's got his way with violin and piano. He reached the semifinals of the Norway's version of the Idol and won the talent competition Kjempesjansen with his own song, "Foolin`".

What else could you possily ask? He's a violonist, pianist, composer and actor from Norway. He composes his own songs, "Fairytale" included. He won the Heddaprisen for his role (the fiddler) in Oslo Nye Teater's production of "Fiddler on the Roof". He stars as Levi in the film Yohan directed by Grete Salomonsen.

Besides, he is very very very very cute and good-looking. :D

The song "Fairytale" and the way he and the modern folk dance company Frikar interpreted it, left me speechless. It was just... PERFECT!

The show was amazing. The music, the lights, the dance, the violin, the lyrics (oh, the lyrics..), his voice (:x:x), the girls` voice, the rythm, the fireworks, the drums, everything melted in and created a modern fairytale.

It was fantastic!

I really do NOT care what other people think of him, or if they like the song.

The facts speak for themselves. He won the Eurovision final, breaking the previous record of 292 points scored by Lordi in 2006. He finished with a grand total of 387 points, 169 more than the runner up of Iceland and 95 points more than the previous record holders. There is nothing more to say about his performance. :D

Below is the video, watch it and let yourself carried on the wings of magic. I will certainly do so. `Cause I'm in love with a fairytale!!! :x:x

I have said that I do NOT care about what other people think of him. :)

You are my best friend, but I do not care about your opinion in this matter.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG. It was the BEST song in the contest. And Alexander Rybak is one of the best singers I have heard in the last couple of years. He's just awesome.

In this particular case, my hormones have nothing to do with my judgement. I simply like the song. I like a whole lot of songs that you don't.

Let's say we're even. You don't like Alexander, I think that Fall Out Boy and Brad Pitt are a bunch of clowns.

See? We have different tastes and still, I am not disappointed with you. As for the reverse matter, you'll have to deal with it. :))

I don't care about what you think of Alexander either. :))

Anyway, I did not expect you to like him, I know your tastes pretty well.

That guy from Greece looked so gay... I didn't even like the song. And about Turkey... The only things I liked about them were the clothes. Those guys from Bosnia were pretty good, but not enough for me.

This post was more for me than for anyone else, as I expected this reactions. :)

I have seen all the participants and I liked only four. From the top to the bottom, they are Alexander Rybak (Norway), Brinck (Denmark), Yohanna (Iceland), Alex Swings Oscar Sings (Germany).
